Carolina Cardenas

Carolina graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology before continuing her education and earning her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College.  

Throughout her experience in the field Carolina has worked with clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, adjustment concerns, interpersonal issues, and body image concerns. 

Carolina believes in the power of meeting people where they are in the present while providing them with a safe, inclusive, and multi-culturally competent environment to be able to share their stories. Carolina’s work in the counseling space is based on creating and cultivating an authentic connection with her clients, while treating them using a strength-based approach to inspire and empower them to be their best selves. Her work also stems from using a mindfulness-based approach and focuses on bringing clients to the present through meditation and breath-work. Carolina believes in using an integrative approach to the counseling process stemming from different theories such as Person-Centered, Experiential, and Existential counseling theories. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship with her clients to bring about the best version of themselves they envision.  

With a passion for helping others, Carolina has dedicated her life to helping people not only mentally, but physically as well. Along with being a counselor, Carolina also dedicates her time being a group fitness coach and motivates others to being the best version of themselves through use of motivational language and inspiration while engaging in strength-focused and high intensity interval training. In her free time Carolina enjoys spending time with her loved ones, engaging in personal development, and participating in joyful movement.
