Christopher Francis
Christopher graduated, with magna cum laude distinction, from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a Master of Art in Clinical Psychology.
With clinical experience ranging from performing psychological assessments, conducting in-depth interviews, and counseling individuals/families through life issues related to depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem issues, miscommunication, and adjustment concerns, Christopher is well-equipped for handling a multitude of needs for potential clients.
Formerly a research assistant at the University of Central Florida as well, Christopher believes in using scientifically proven treatment approaches to tackle various mental health concerns that are presented in his office. With a heavy emphasis on Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Christopher holds a strong belief in the client being the controller of their success in therapy. Likewise, he aims to use skills related to active listening and reframing one’s thoughts to help guide his clients toward a path of peace and tranquility. Holding the belief that change comes from acceptance and effort, Christopher hopes to present a safe space for his clients to feel comfortable making a positive change in their lives.
Being born and raised in Orlando, Christopher embodies the love and spirit of Central Florida. He values concepts such as social support, equality, religious freedom, and advocacy, consistently striving to look out for all clients regardless of age, background, race, gender, or sexual orientation, because Christopher is dedicated to providing the best service for all individuals.
