Jelena Zupancic
Jelena’s professional path has been shaped by a commitment to working with diverse populations across the lifespan, a journey that led her to her current role as a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology, she began her career as a Registered Behavioral Technician, gaining several years of hands on experience before pursuing her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Throughout her career, Jelena has worked closely with clients facing complex challenges and varying levels of acuity, such as providing therapy and case management in a free community mental health clinic and serving as a therapist in higher levels of care within eating disorder treatment settings.
Jelena draws from a range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-In-Environment, and somatic-based practices. She values the process of deeply understanding each client’s story, helping them navigate life’s challenges with both compassion and directness.. often infused with a sense of humor.
Her work is grounded in the belief that therapy should be a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward healing and personal growth.
Outside of her professional life, Jelena enjoys exploring new music, getting lost in a good book, and finding moments of presence and connection in her everyday routines.
