Dr. Jeremiah Simmons
Jeremiah’s approach to counseling is restorative and integrative, rooted in a relational model that honors the unique needs of each client. He is EMDR certified and draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Rogerian therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Object Relations, and CBT.
He works with adults, couples, adolescents, and families, and also provides clinical supervision for mental health counselors. His areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, adjustment issues, couples and marital counseling, and identity concerns. He also works with executives and athletes to strengthen mental resilience, emotional steadiness, and the clarity needed for sustained high performance.
Raised and educated in the Southeast, Jeremiah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee. He holds a PhD, a Master of Arts in Counseling, and a Master of Divinity. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida.
Outside of his work, Jeremiah enjoys good movies, interesting books, playing tennis, spending unhurried time with friends, and sharing good meals where he finds room for seconds and still saves room for dessert. He lives in Maitland, Florida, with his wife, Vita, and their two exuberant children.
