Katherine Rodriguez-Almonte
Katherine Rodriguez-Almonte, born and raised in the Dominican Republic until the age of 11, she lived and worked most of her life in the State of Massachusetts. Katherine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development, with a concentration in Psychology from Merrimack College in 2013. In 2017 she completed her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and currently holds a Mental Health Counseling License in the State of Florida. Katherine is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. She has worked with children, adults, and the elderly. She has a passion for working with young-adults and welcomes all adults facing difficult transitions as well as those navigating self identity, processing childhood and generational patterns, to establish healthier relationships and gain self confidence. Katherine also specializes in women’s issues, self- awareness, acceptance and worth.
Katherine’s counseling approach is person centered, solution focused, and utilizes cognitive behavioral strategies. She has worked in different settings such as individual counseling for those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and other mental health disorders, as well as schools, communities, and homes, providing in-home therapy and family services. Katherine is really enjoying working with couples providing the space to be heard and seen again.
Most of all, Katherine enjoys being a safe place, holding the space for individuals to nourish their soul as they engage in self healing work. Katherine’s desired outcome is for individuals to learn how to heal past wounds and embrace the ability to create a healthy relationship with themselves and others through God’s grace. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her Husband, daughters, and other family members, going on outings with her friends and being out in nature.
