Matt Beckham

Matt graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology before receiving his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. From his first job at a non-profit dedicated to helping children with disabilities, Matt has always known he wants to help others.

Matt utilizes an integrated counseling approach, which uses Person-Centered Therapy as a framework and incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy among others, to build safe, healing relationships with his clients. He also utilizes Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) with clients. Matt focuses on collaborating with his clients so that they may feel empowered to become the best version of themselves.

Matt has experience in community mental health as well as college counseling settings and has worked with individuals of all ages. He is well versed in a variety of issues including anxiety, trauma, depression, adjustment issues, relational issues, self-esteem, addiction, and grief. Rooted in empathy and compassion, Matt uses his expertise to help his clients gain insight about themselves and develop tools to address life’s challenges.

In his free time, Matt can be found enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, traveling, or watching soccer.
