Michelle Ilugbusi

Michelle is a born and raised Central Floridian, earning her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College with a certificate in College Counseling.

She aims to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore and grow into their most authentic selves. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and collaborative, grounded in a deep respect for the unique and intersecting identities each person holds. Michelle draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, humanistic and Gestalt principles, while incorporating a multicultural and feminist framework to ensure the work done together is both empowering and culturally responsive.

Michelle has experience in a variety of settings: residential treatment program, community agency, college counseling center, and college case management. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, spiritual abuse/trauma, grief, perfectionism, identity development, life transitions, and college students of all ages - especially those who identify as first generation. The hope is that you leave with a renewed sense of self and tools to healthily navigate the roadblocks of life.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, re-watching 90s/early 2000s movies, and engaging in outdoor activities when it’s not too hot.
