Rachel Thoni

Rachel is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) through the National Art Therapy Credentials Board. She has worked in a variety of settings, including school-based services, acute medical care, and intensive outpatient programming. Through these experiences, Rachel has had the privilege of supporting clients across the lifespan through emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns including anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, adjustment challenges, disordered eating, preemptive grief, and identity exploration.

Rachel views therapy as a collaborative process, with sessions uniquely shaped to feel safe and supportive of personal growth. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centered, blending evidence-based practices with holistic, trauma-informed care. She additionally believes that healing doesn’t always start with words and is trained to utilize non-linguistic modalities, such as Creative Arts and Sand Tray Therapies, when appropriate to help individuals explore their emotions and experiences in an alternative manner.

Rachel welcomes work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages, honoring the wonderful strengths and growth opportunities that come with every stage of life. She is especially passionate about supporting children and adolescents who have experienced trauma or are navigating life transitions. Through early childhood intervention, Rachel aims to help families address the impacts of adverse experiences as they arise to foster healthy development, secure attachment, and lifelong well-being.

Outside of clinical work, Rachel enjoys exploring Orlando (her ever-changing hometown), practicing creative expression through any art medium she can find, and training for her next big race.
