Sara Jang is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University and her Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. She has a strong passion for supporting children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families.

Born in Queens, NY, and raised in Delaware and Florida by Christian-Korean immigrant parents, Sara brings a unique understanding of cultural identity, family dynamics, and the challenges that come with navigating diverse experiences. She values the importance of exploring how culture, upbringing, and personal background shape a person’s story and identity, and she integrates this awareness into the therapeutic process.

Sara is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. Her collaborative approach emphasizes meeting clients where they are and working together toward meaningful growth and healing. She draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Her clinical interests include self-esteem/body-image, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, family conflict, and identity. She values truly getting to know each client for who they are, fostering trust, and tailoring therapy to their individual goals.

In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, exploring new coffee shops, staying active, and watching horror, crime, and reality TV movies/shows.
