Suellen Fagin-Allen

Suellen is a mindfulness-based, trauma-informed Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in addition to prior career work in music performance and management, in law practice and in non-profit governance. In midlife she changed focus, honoring her life-long interest in mental health and wellness, and returned to her undergraduate alma mater, Rollins College, earning a Masters Degree in Community Counseling with honors in 2004.

She enjoys helping those struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, grief and loss, stress, cultural concerns and difficult life transitions as well as people seeking personal growth, values clarification, enhanced spirituality and greater meaning and purpose in life.  Populations of special interest to Suellen include legal, healthcare and non-profit professionals and students, people in the performing arts, family caregivers, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and people feeling 'lost' while navigating through midlife challenges. Her focus in counseling is holistic and she utilizes a blended approach including cognitive, emotion-focused and somatic therapies to help her clients achieve optimum overall wellness. Suellen is also a Reiki Master-Teacher and is happy to share energy psychology techniques and interventions to complement more traditional therapy approaches with interested clients.

When not working, Suellen enjoys travel, photography, blogging, making art and spending time with her husband Robert and their delightful year-old tuxedo cat, Nibbles.
