Tristin McDermott

Tristin's a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, who received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire. Before seeking out her Masters she graduated with a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Florida as she has been passionate about helping others for a long time.

Tristin highly values having her clients feeling heard, seen, and ultimately feel safe. She uses an eclectic approach with a focus of Relational Cultural Therapy to enhance and reinforce and build safe and nurturing relationships with her clients.

Tristin has extensive experiences in multiple different settings such as residential treatment centers, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization settings with individuals of all ages and all genders. Tristin specializes and is passionate about treating a variety of concerns such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, adjustment issues, relational issues, self-esteem, and grief. Tristin roots her approach through empathy and compassion and uses her expertise to help guide her clients in reaching their goals.

As Tristin endorses a healthy work/life balance, outside of her world of counseling; she enjoys baking, reading, watching crime shows, and spending time with her family and fur babies.
