Vita DiMaria Simmons
Vita Simmons is the Chief Administrative Officer at Simmons Counseling Services. Earning a BA in History from Emory University and an MS in Secondary Education from the University of Tennessee, Vita spent fifteen years teaching high school in Seminole County. With the changes brought about by Covid, Vita pivoted from the field of education to health care. Driven by a desire to see that teachers prioritize their mental health, she is an active organizer of our Educator Wellness Initiative that works to partner with schools in welcoming teachers to embrace their mental health benefits and underscoring the importance of self-care.
Apart from her endeavors with SCS, Vita is an avid baker, keen New Yorker reader, and US History enthusiast.
