Daniel Joseph

Daniel graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an interest in Finance, as well as a Master’s in Counselor’s Education. With professional experiences in asset management, recruiting, and executive search, Daniel looks at counseling as a collaborative project where client and counselor find innovative solutions to achieve their life goals. These goals may be tackling depression and anxiety, healing from past trauma, or adjusting to a new school, but they can also be in areas like stress and time management. Daniel’s initial passion for the field of counseling was rooted in an observation of the changing landscape for romantic/marital relationships in modern society. This development of relationship dynamics motivated Daniel to train and practice with the Gottman Method, an evidence-based and evolving method that aims to assist couples by developing tools in various relationship facets.

Daniel’s training experience in college counseling gave him a unique opportunity to observe and study the transition from adolescence into adulthood. The challenges and opportunities observed motivated him to want to further help clients as they continuously develop and adjust to their roles in life. This drive to collaborate with clients is shown in his Solution Focused treatments that also introduce elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help educate clients on identifying aspects of their mental health and life experiences.

Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys a fun video game, a moving poem, a pleasant song, and a day on the golf course.
